该饭店始建于1906年，以典型的维多利亚风格被列为近代保护建筑，也是上海为数不多的五星级饭店之一。1998年1月，公司着手开始对饭店进行全面整修装饰，8月底竣工。该工程被评为优良工程，并获得“浦江杯”。

The project of building maintenance and architectural decorating was started in January 1998 and completed in August 1998. The project was appraised as high quality project and awarded PU JIANG Cup Prize.
